The Opportunity‍

Jump into exciting projects as a Head of Web Development, leading an energetic and ambitious development team. You’ll be meeting clients, discussing projects, and using your knowledge to consult on, and create truly effective websites. You’ll be collaborating with a talented group of developers to make exceptional eCommerce, providing niche expertise on Shopify full-stack development. You'll be encouraged to vocalise and implement your ideas based on sound knowledge and experience, mentoring the team on best practice, and driving continuous improvement to maintain the quality work our client is recognised for.

You’ll enhance coding standards, grow the team, and manage a variety of projects with predomiantly retail, fashion, and lifestyle clients.

‍Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Shopify ability: both hands-on delivering projects, and consulting/overseeing projects.
• Leadership experience to mentor and manage the Development team.
• Understanding of wider web/eCommerce technolgoies/platforms.
• Ability to take ownership of activity across all projects (new builds, migrations, retained work, app development).
• Desire to grow and enhance the exisiting team, through training and recruitment.
• Cultivate good relations with all stakeholders.
• Regularly liaise with Account Managers for progress reports and updates.
• Ensure timely communication of needs and requirements.
• Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, and translate throughout the team.
• Assist the agency in accurate quoting and planning of development work.
• Provide regular reporting to the leadership team.
• Identify new product/service opportunities, keeping abreast of latest trends and innovations.
• UK based, working remotely with occasional travel.
